Synopsis

This game with the aptly Germanic name is a tactical war game including armored vehicles which includes almost all the land weapons used on the Russian front from 1941 to 1945. The game places the player in command of a German or Russian tactical squad. Kampfgruppe features four historical scenarios and an infinite number of randomly created scenarios.

Historical scenarios: “Engagement meeting east of Bryansk” (July 7, 1942), “Attempt to clear Stalingrad” (December 17, 1942), “Attack towards kyiv” (November 3, 1943), “Attack towards Berlin” (March 22, 1945).

The game will automatically end after 20 turns (30 if there is an Assault Battle in progress). However, a game may end early or continue after it is finished if all parties agree. At the end of the game, victory points will be awarded, which will determine whether the battle was a draw or a marginal, substantial, or decisive victory.
