Synopsis

The player plays a mother kangaroo who tries to save her little one who is being held prisoner by monkeys. The monkeys throw apples and cores which must be avoided or thrown back with a punch, while collecting fruit. Hitting the bell causes bonus fruits to appear. If the player waits too long, a large boxing monkey appears to steal his gloves, leaving him temporarily defenseless. The game has four levels, then starts again with increased difficulty. Kangaroo is one of the first games inspired by Donkey Kong without being a direct clone.
