Synopsis

A side-scrolling fighting game for 1-4 players. Each playable character (chosen from Mark, Glen, Akira, and Gil) kicks and punches through a number of enemy-filled levels. In addition to kicks and punches, each character also has their own "special attack"; a move that damages multiple enemies on screen at the cost of some of the player's health.

While by no means original (taking most of its inspiration from Capcom's "Final Fight"), Karate Blazers is both extremely playable and very fast-paced and frantic, with the amount of enemies on screen sometimes overwhelming. The graphics are also well drawn and nicely animated.
