Synopsis

The Key Factor is an arcade game combined with a typing tutor. The player's task is to defend their planet against a force of alien invaders. The aliens appear at the top of the screen and slowly move down to the bottom. Under each row of aliens are different letters, numbers or other keys. These keys are the player's weapons and are fired when the corresponding key is pressed.
The keys are protected by barriers which are weakened each time they are touched by aliens. If a barrier is completely destroyed, the alien will reach the key, resulting in the game ending for the player. The game consists of six levels, each having a number of waves with different aliens that get faster and faster.
