Synopsis

Players can choose one of six monsters (four in 16-bit ports) for battle, and two players can join forces to fight monsters together. Battles end when one of the monsters is pinned for a count of three or if the timer runs out (in which case the player loses).

The game consists of 12 levels in total: the player must first defeat the six monsters, the last monster being himself, but in a different palette. Next, the player must defeat the six monsters again, in the same order, but this time in different towns.
