Kishin Douji Zenki - Tenchi Meidou
Synopsis
Kishin Douji Zenki: Tenchi Meidou is a strategy game in which each level takes a scene from the manga. Before performing an action, the player or the CPU rolls a die. The latter will determine how many squares you will be able to move or another action. Indeed, it is possible, depending on the levels, to accomplish the following actions: - It is possible to move certain portions of the map of the current level, provided that no character is on it. - Rotate a square - Create a bridge: the bridge only remains for one turn, fortunately this action can be combined with a move. - Cast a spell: Chiaki summons a pentacle and casts a spell that can eliminate enemies in the surrounding area. - Place a talisman on any square to prevent an enemy from going there. By using all these elements, you will have to complete each level like a puzzle game. But not only that, because there are also enemies on the map and sometimes you have to fight. Indeed, when you come across the same square as a monster, a duel is triggered. The representation then changes completely and shows the two opponents facing each other while playing cards appear at the bottom of the screen and trigger attacks, spells or protections. The gameplay offers different game modes: story mode, versus mode for up to four players or CPUs to compete against, "combat" mode for only duels by choosing various characters, and a training mode which presents several "tutorial" levels and which allows you to discover all the subtleties of the game system.
