Synopsis

Koutetsu Yousai Strahl takes place in a modern world ravaged by a Great Depression. Taking advantage of the chaos, Doctor Gegeben Funkerun launches a plan for world domination from a gigantic fortress in orbit. Its robots, mercenaries and flying fortresses attack weakened nations, pushing governments to join forces to develop an advanced combat fighter: the Aizerun Geist.

Before each stage, the player can equip his aircraft by choosing from several main weapons, secondary weapons and types of bombs. The Aizerun Geist features a manually adjustable secondary weapon system, allowing fire to be directed in five directions to match enemy waves. The game features six varied levels, ranging from jungles to stormy skies to Fortress Strahl itself.
