Synopsis

Edoropolis (Little Tokyo in the USA) is the home of animaloids, cybernetized anthropomorphic animals. They are led by the shogun Lei Lei Tokugawa (Emperor Fred, panda of his state) and his daughter Usako Tokugawa (Princess Violette, nicknamed "Vi", a rabbit). Unfortunately, Prime Minister Kitsunezuka Kohon-no-Kami (a fox called Seymour "The Big" Cheese in the USA and Dusournois in France) tries to overthrow them and rule by force. He always has a Machiavellian plan up his sleeve involving the army of Raven Ninjas led by Karamaru (a raven called Ducrochu in France and Bad Bird in the USA) and Karasu Gennarisai (an old raven called Decati in France and Jerry Atric in the USA, this name being a play on words based on Geriatric, doctors for the elderly).
The head of the Royal Palace guards, Inuyama Wanko-no-Kami (a dog, named Big Al Dente in the USA) is on the lookout and requires the help of the secret Ninja squad "Nyankii" (the Pizza Cats) each time the Prime Minister is suspected of fomenting a new plan. The Nyankiis operate out of their pizzeria as their secret base and systematically thwart the Raven Ninjas.
However, rumors claim that Kohon No Kami contacted a foreign scientist, Doctor Violet for an as yet unknown purpose.
Kyatto Ninden Teyandee is a Ninja Gaiden style game based on the manga of the same name produced in 1990 by atsunoko Productions and Sotsu agency. Eleven levels are to be completed by playing each of the Nyankii/Pizza Cats: Yattaro (Toufou Touflamme in France, Speedy Cerviche in the USA) armed with his Katana Masamasa, Pururun (Polly Esther), the only girl on the team who attacks with her projectiles and her nails cutting like razors and Sukashii (Guido Anchovy in the USA and Guidon de course in France..) who fights with her Japanese umbrella.
You can change characters by pressing start at any time. The four Otasuke ninjas (Rescue Team in the USA, these are four other cats from the rescue team) are also selectable: Rikinoshin (General Catton or General Chatton) who can break rocks, Mietoru (Bat Cat or Batchat) who can flutter, Gotton (Meowzma O' Tool or Chabada) who can dig in certain walls and Nekkii (Spritz T. Cat or Super Cat) who can swim more easily and attack underwater. Their special abilities can only be used for a short time and each has an additional movement that can be improved by pressing B+up but which reduces Ningpo's bar.
