Description
This firmware from 1995 corresponds to the BIOS of an extension card in ISA format called LBA Enhancer, produced by VS Systems. LBA (Logical Block Addressing) designs a disk addressing mode intended to exceed the capacity limitations of older hard drives on compatible PCs. The map included a 16K ROM mappee with a configurable address of the memory system, allowing to add this functionality to machines that did not have it natively. This component illustrates the many utility expansion cards that accompanied PCs during the 90s.
