Synopsis

In Legionaire, you play as Caesar and command up to ten Roman legions against numerically superior barbarian forces in a campaign to conquer Gaul. You start with just a few units, including the cavalry and Caesar's elite legion – the most powerful on the battlefield – and will need to skillfully maneuver to outwit the enemy by exploiting the terrain and Roman discipline. Each battle takes place in real time, requiring sharp tactics and quick decisions. Despite the power of your legions, only judicious positioning and careful strategic planning will allow you to defeat the hordes. The difficulty of the campaign gradually increases, making this game a classic real-time strategy game, both early and demanding.
