Synopsis
The European wars against Spain and France were costly for the British Empire. In order to raise money for the war effort, the Crown increases taxes on unrepresented New World colonies. This act sparked protests and boycotts against British rules from the colonies of the New World. In 1775, the Crown, alarmed by protests, boycotts and political instability, sent troops to contain the rebellion of the New World colonies. This threatening approach provokes the revolt of the 13 colonies. This revolt will be the start of the War of Independence in the New World (American War of Independence).
