Synopsis

Macross Plus is a vertical shoot'em up based on the anime Macross. The player must stop Sharon Apple's coup d'état on the planet Eden in gameplay very close to Super Spacefortress Macross, of which it almost entirely uses the mechanics. Three pilots are available—Isamu (YF‑19), Guld (YF‑21), and an original female pilot (VF‑11)—each offering a different ending after the seventh level. The game introduces a special chargeable micro-missile shot, whose power depends on how long you hold the button. The game offers alternate endings for Isamu and Guld during a second loop, while that of the pilot remains unchanged
