Synopsis

Jeu de tir multidirectionnel écrit par Andrew Welch et diffusé en partagiciel en novembre 1992. Il reprend le principe d'Asteroids en le poussant bien au-delà de l'original de 1979 : graphismes détaillés proches de ceux de Blasteroids, effets sonores travaillés et animations soignées, sur des écrans couleur haute résolution que peu de jeux Macintosh exploitaient alors. C'est précisément ce vide qui a fait son succès, malgré un concept vieux de treize ans au moment de sa sortie. L'accueil reçu a décidé Andrew Welch à fonder Ambrosia Software, maison qui allait dominer le partagiciel Macintosh pendant une quinzaine d'années.
