Synopsis

Maggotmania is a single-screen shooter inspired by the arcade game Centipede. There you control a blue creature at the bottom of the screen and must destroy a large maggot that appears at the top of the screen in different levels. You can move left, right, forward and backward a short distance, and shoot upwards. The maggot moves across the screen, and when it touches a flower or the edge, it moves back one square in the opposite direction. If you encounter it, it splits in two and continues running towards you, leaving a flower behind. The flowers stop your bullets, but after a few shots they disappear. Touching a flower causes you to lose one in three lives. Other creatures, such as a spider and a snail, appear and can be eliminated to earn bonus points.
