Synopsis

There are 3 possible combinations: chow, pong and kong. The chow is a numerical sequence of 3 pieces: numbers, bamboos or balls. It is possible to make a chow by drawing a coin from the common pot or by claiming the coin that the previous player threw on the table (and only that player). Pong is a combination of 3 identical pieces. The kong requires 4 similar pieces. If a player places a piece on the table, the others can claim it to form a winning combination. If two players want the same piece, you should know that kong has priority over pong and pong over chow. A winning hand is generally made up of 3 combinations (kong, pong or chow) and a pair, or special combinations like the jade dragon.

The whole art of this game lies in the art of choosing and rejecting the right piece. You have to memorize the pieces visible on the table and know how to block the opponent at the right time. For the rest, you have to cross your fingers and pray to the gods!
