Synopsis

Mahjong Sword - Princess Quest Gaiden is a medieval mahjong game. On the continent of Audores, princesses from various countries and other noble ladies compete in the game of mahjong, trying to capture the sacred sword. The player takes control of the young warrior Rutia, who must defeat five opponents on the path to glory.
Mahjong matches follow the typical one-on-one pattern, but the results are presented as battles, with heated attacks and depleted life points. Money earned from winning mahjong games is spent in stores on items that can be used later before a mahjong match for various bonuses.
Opponents also strip when losing a mahjong match. The PC Engine CD version only shows scantily clad women, removing scenes of nudity and torture from the computer version.
