Synopsis

After Manchester United won the English Championship for the first time since 1967, it was no surprise that Krisalis reused its existing license for a third licensed football game. Little did they know that the club was embarking on an unprecedented series of successes which continued into the 2000s.

The basic control scheme will be familiar to anyone who has played Kick Off, as it involves holding the fire to trap the ball under your player's foot, and releasing the fire to pass, although the ball will be kicked forward if it moves quickly when it gets to your height. Other features of the game include diving headers, varying pitch conditions, penalty kicks and pinpoint deflections. The 2500 players featured in the game all have varying statistical abilities, as well as different skin colors.
