Description

You can play a round of golf on one of three different courses. One or two players can play in the United States, Japan or the United Kingdom and choose stroke or match play. The game takes place in two viewpoints, starting with an overhead view that lets you set up the shot and choose a club, then moving to a 3D viewpoint.

Ball striking is done using the usual power meter: press the button to start the meter, press the button a second time to select the power of the shot, then press the button a third time to select the amount of slice or hook. If you're unable to complete a round in a single game, NES Open Tournament Golf has a battery backup that allows you to save the game and resume it later.
