Synopsis

Second installment in the Marvel vs. 2D fighting game series. Capcom. It uses the same team format used in X-Men vs. Street Fighter. Each player selects 2 characters who face off in a 2v2 match. Instead of the typical best-of-3-round format, matches consist of a single round. At the start of the match, the 1st selected character is controlled by the player, while the 2nd remains off-screen and serves as support. Characters have separate vitality bars, and the sleeping character slowly recovers their vitality bar while the other character fights.
If one of the characters loses all their vitality, their partner automatically replaces them in the game. The match continues until both characters from each team are defeated. If the timer ends before a team is eliminated, the player with the most combined life remaining is declared the winner.
