Synopsis

Compiled by id Software in response to various commercial collections of Doom wads like D!Zone, the Master Levels for Doom II was intended to be the largest mega-collection of additional Doom cards (the "Maximum Doom" collection), plus twenty new official cards (the "Master Levels").

“Master Levels” are twenty standalone maps created by independent game designers at the request of id. There is no overarching campaign or attempt to connect the levels together, although some of the levels created by the same designer have their own story.
