Matchboxes
Synopsis
Matchboxes is a game combining memory, concentration and guessing. It is played by two players (the second player can be an AI or another human) on a grid of 36 squares. When a square is flipped, an animated figure appears. The goal is to form pairs of identical boxes (same type and same color). The player can then flip squares until they no longer find a pair. A word is hidden under the grid and is gradually revealed as the boxes are opened. After each pair, the player has the option to enter the word. The first player to find the correct word wins the game. There are different variations: one without guesses, one with reversed words and one where the word is mixed up.
