Freed from his capsule by Dr. Cain, "X" is born in the world of the future, where the robot revolts are nothing more than a bad memory. When Dr. Cain attempts to bring Dr. Light's preliminary plans to fruition by producing a series of Reploids, the experience turns into a nightmare. Now the world is on the brink of destruction.
