Synopsis

Mega Phoenix takes the concept of the Phoenix arcade game from the 90s. The game is a single-screen shoot'em up in which the player moves from left to right while shooting multiple waves. The player has a shield function, which lasts a short time (after which it must be recharged for reuse) and which paralyzes the ship when active.

The first waves consist of several small alien beings that move from the fleet towards the player at random intervals - contact with these beings kills the player. The deadly phoenixes that shoot at you come next, followed by the Mega Phoenix itself and a final boss, before everything repeats on a higher difficulty.
