Synopsis

Meltdown is an arcade game similar to Reactor. On the screen you will see a representation of a nuclear reactor; Many control bars are located in the center of the screen, with the reactor walls located at the edges. Inside the reactor are many (dangerous) particles that will damage the control rods if they collide. Using the light gun you have to shoot and destroy the different particles before the control bars are destroyed. As the control rods sustain damage, the reactor walls will slowly squeeze inward, reducing the amount of available space. Occasionally, power crystals may appear; When fired, these provide bonuses such as extra points, control bar repair, temporary particle freezing, more powerful shots and more. The game ends when the control rods have been completely destroyed causing the reactor to melt down.
