Synopsis
Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty - HD Edition features 720p resolution and 16:9 aspect ratio, allowing the player to have a clearer and wider view of their surroundings than the 480p resolution and 4:3 aspect ratio of the PlayStation 2 version. Stages can now be viewed in full screen or letterboxed format, and online achievements/trophies have also been added. Most of the additional content from Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance was also ported to this version, such as the Missions and Snake Tales modes, although the skateboarding mini-game that was present in the PlayStation 2 version of Substance is absent.
