Synopsis

Computer Scrabble is the first official computer version of the famous word game. It uses a dictionary of 11,000 words including the most frequent Scrabble terms. We therefore find very short and sometimes obscure words, often very profitable, while certain common words are contested by the program; you then just have to confirm that it is indeed a word to continue.

Input is done by moving the cursor horizontally or vertically to the start square, then entering the word, with the option of using the spacebar to indicate a blank letter. All words formed are correctly counted. The game allows you to mix or reorganize your letters, and you can watch the computer “think” by evaluating your moves and their scores. Four difficulty levels are offered, with the highest allowing for combined scores exceeding 700 points.
