Synopsis

In what appears to be a medieval fantasy world called Varn, a group of adventurers seek to enter the coveted "Inner Sanctum". The heroes soon realize that one of the four kings who rule the lands of Varn is in fact an impostor, a creature from outer space. Their task is to find the true king and stop the mysterious space traveler, revealing the truth about the origin of the world.The Secret of the Inner Sanctum is a role-playing game and the first installment in the Might and Magic series. The basic concept of the game is similar to that of the Wizardry games, although the game does not focus solely on dungeon exploration and features areas and towns in the overworld that can be physically traversed. In this regard, the game is similar to The Bard's Tale, although it has a much larger game environment with multiple cities.
