Synopsis

Murder on the Mississippi, fully titled Murder on the Mississippi: The Adventures of Sir Charles Foxworth, is a 1986 crime adventure game developed and published by Activision for the Commodore 64, Commodore 128 and Apple II computers. It was also licensed for release in Japan exclusively by Jaleco, who ported the game to the Nintendo Famicom and MSX2 under the name Mississippi Satsujin Jiken. It is an adventure game in which the player must solve a mysterious assassination on the luxury ship "Delta Princess". While traveling to New Orleans from St. Louis on the ship "Delta Princess", Detective Sir Charles and Watson are caught in the middle of a murder investigation, which they must solve.
