Synopsis

The second title in Midway's baseball series, SlugFest 20-04 continues to drip with brutal gameplay, bizarre codes, and humorous commentary. In addition to the new Home Run Derby mode and Create-A-Team options, the game offers pitchers the ability to catch "On Fire" and special impossible pitches that zigzag, arch and spin in a way that would leave any hitter humiliated. New secret teams have been added to the previous group, including aliens, minotaurs, and Sub-Zero fame from Mortal Kombat. Customizable instant replay is another nice touch, allowing you to relive difficult moments once the game is paused. And sure enough, Tim Kitzrow and Jim Shorts return to the commentary booth, doing their random comments and incessant arguing.
