Synopsis

The player pilots the Gundam RX-78-2 in ground combat and space flight phases, using various weapons to destroy enemies. Other characters' radio conversations are broadcast throughout each phase, and it is often necessary to destroy all enemies in an area to advance the story. As missions are completed, additional weapons become available and the player can customize their equipment before each stage.
The Newtype attack is particularly interesting: when charged and locked on, it deals instant damage to targeted enemies, including those in the foreground and background who are out of range of normal attacks.
