Synopsis

The game is based on famous Japanese folk tales. Momotarou is a boy who was found in a huge peach (hence his name, "peach guy"). When he grows up, he goes to the island of demons, fights them, takes their treasure and restores peace to his village. In this game, you do not directly play Momotarou's story, but control three other popular characters from Japanese folklore, playing three separate stories: as Yashahime, the daughter of the King of Hell Emma; Binbougami, or "god of poverty", who is hated by people because he takes money from them; and Urashima, the legendary fisherman who saved a turtle and befriended the dragon clan. Although the original stories have little or nothing to do with each other or with Momotarou's story, the game ties the stories together by introducing Momotarou as a character in each of them.

Although it is primarily a children's game (the story is told in a fairy tale style), it is a full-fledged console-style RPG with levels, party management, world map travel, dungeons, towns, weapons and armor, and combat against randomly appearing enemies, viewed in first person.
