Synopsis

Players start with 1,000,000 yen and must invest wisely to upgrade their housing from a small apartment to a mansion with a swimming pool. The game uses a virtual diary, phone and computer, requiring fluency in Japanese. Players must manage interest rates, exchange rates, and personal relationships, such as buying a car and dating a girlfriend. Succeeding leads to marriage and children, while failure leads to “game over” for poor investment decisions. It inspired a sequel, Wall Street Kid, but no other indie stock market game followed.
