Synopsis

Monster Smash is a side-view single-screen platformer where your mission is to capture all the partying monsters in the graveyard. The screen has four rows of platforms each containing four tombstones on three of the levels. Some platforms can rotate 90°. Monsters appear at the top and left of the screen and move to the right along the platforms. By rotating the platforms, the monsters descend and move towards the bottom of the screen. Pressing the fire button raises or lowers the tombstones. When a monster touches a tombstone, it is captured. If he reaches the opposite edge of the screen, he escapes. If too many monsters escape (indicated by a gauge), the game is over. Once a certain number of monsters have been captured, you move on to the next level. Before you start, you can choose your level, from 1 to 9.
