Synopsis

Monsters, Inc. on the GameBoy Color tells the story of the Pixar film as a side-scrolling platform game. Players control the film's two monstrous stars, Sulley and Bob, across 12 levels.

Some levels dictate which of the two characters is controlled, others leave this choice to the player. Bob and Sulley have different abilities. Sulley can push objects, climb on top to reach higher places, and break through barriers by dashing towards them or clinging to ledges. Bob can jump twice and crawl through tight spaces. The two also have different attacks - Bob can throw Blort Cola cans and Sulley can throw toys.

Bonuses to collect are cans of Blort, which in addition to being Bob's ammo functions as health ammo - being damaged only means losing a few cans. There are also Chinese takeout boxes (collect 10 for an extra life) and teddy bears (a snapshot at the top).
