Synopsis

Moon Patrol is a side-scrolling game in which the player must drive a moon buggy from one station on the Moon to another, while avoiding crashing or being destroyed by alien ships. The vehicle constantly moves to the right and the player can speed up or slow down, jump and shoot (shooting up and forward simultaneously). There are 25 checkpoints along the way, each symbolized by a letter from A to Z and serving as a respawn point. Every five checkpoints mark a distinct “stop” on the entire route; Reaching the end of a stage within the time limit earns a significant score bonus.
