Synopsis

Moon Patrol is a side-scrolling game in which the player must drive a moon buggy from one station on the Moon to another, while avoiding crashing or being destroyed by alien ships. The vehicle constantly moves to the right and the player can speed up or slow down, jump and shoot (shooting up and forward simultaneously). There are 25 checkpoints along the way, each symbolized by a letter from A to Z, and serving as a rest point. Every five checkpoints mark a distinct “stop” on the entire course; Reaching the end of a stage below regulation time grants a big score bonus.
