Synopsis

Mortal Kombat II, commonly abbreviated MKII, is a fighting video game developed by the American company Midway Manufacturing Company and initially released in November 1993 on arcade machines. This is the second title in the Mortal Kombat series.

After his defeat, Shang Tsung begs his master, Shao Kahn, to spare his life. He tells her that the invitation to the Mortal Kombat tournament cannot be refused, and that if the tournament takes place in the Underworld, Earth Kingdom warriors must be present. Kahn agrees on this principle and restores health and youth to Tsung. He extends Raiden's invitation, who for his part invites his fighters to join him, and they all go to the Underworld. The tournament is dangerous because Shao Kahn has the advantage of being in his element, and a victory for the Evil Kingdom would unbalance the situation and allow evil forces to overwhelm Earth.

The story follows that of the first opus, and overall, this episode is richer than the previous one.
