Synopsis

Mr. Nutz 2 is a Sega Genesis port of Mr. Nutz Hoppin' Mad for the Amiga. It was developed by Neon, and was to be distributed in 1995 by Océan. But the market for Genesis games began to decline around this time and Ocean decided not to market it. Someone related to Neon released the source code for this port in the late 2000s and some images of the ROM too (which couldn't be released commercially due to copyright issues). Compiling the source code into a ROM was difficult at first, but it was eventually done, and the ROM was posted in the Sonic Retro forum.
This ROM is apparently a near-final beta release, as there are no Neon or Ocean logos at the beginning, and the title of the ROM is "Mr. Nutz Hoppin' Mad" as in the original Amiga version unlike "Mr. Nutz 2" as in the screenshots that were released before. Other than that, the game feels complete and is playable.
