Synopsis

Ordinary Japanese teenager Yuko Asou's life changes when she is attacked by a monster and mysteriously wields a legendary sword. Summoned to the tyrant-ruled parallel world of Vecanti, she must use the Valis blade to defeat Rogles and restore balance to the worlds.

Valis shares the platform action genre and story foundation of the series' original game but features unique locations, enemies, bosses and cutscenes. Players control Yuko, who can jump high and attack mid-air, utilizing precise timing and various sword-enhancing power-ups to defeat enemies.

Initially a melee weapon, it can be upgraded with power-ups to become a medium-range firearm capable of shooting in multiple directions. Boss enemies feature unique attack patterns that require tailored strategies to defeat..
