Synopsis

You have just come across a most intriguing book, a book called Myst. Its origin, author and age are unknown. Reading it, you only get a description of an island world. But it's just a book, right? As you reach the end of the book, you place your hand on a page. Suddenly your own world dissolves, replaced by the insular world of the book. Now you are here, wherever that is, and you have no choice but to explore.

Myst is a 1st person adventure game where the player controls a character known as "The Stranger". Magically transported to the world described in the book, he must explore the island of Myst and solve its mysteries. The game is presented as a series of static scenes where the player acts on the environment by clicking and manipulating objects. There are no enemies and it is not possible to die.
