Synopsis

Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon features three characters – Goemon, Sasuke and Ebisumaru – who can walk, jump, attack and throw weapons throughout the game's five stages. Goemon has balanced abilities; Ebisumaru can throw farther but tires quickly, while Sasuke can jump high but can't throw as well as the others. Players control one character at a time to move through each stage and defeat enemies, who attack with close-range weapons and projectiles. If a player's character is hit by an enemy, their hit points are reduced; if all are exhausted, the character loses a life and the level starts again from the beginning. Life points can be replenished via hearts scattered throughout the game. At maximum life points, characters are capable of long-range special attacks. At the end of each stage is a main enemy with better health and stronger attacks than other enemies.
