Description
This particular BIOS was developed by Sega for House of the Dead 2, a rail shooter released in 1998 on the NAOMI arcade board. Some deluxe terminals of this game used a specific hardware configuration (double cab, optical pistols) requiring a modified version of the standard firmware of NAOMI. NAOMI, derived from the Dreamcast architecture, was Sega's main arcade platform from 1998 to the mid-2000s. This firmware manages the initialization adapted to this configuration before loading the game from the GD-ROM.
