Description
NAOMI (New Arcade Operation Machine Idea) is Sega's flagship arcade card, launched in 1998 and derived directly from the Dreamcast console architecture. It uses a Hitachi SH-4 processor and a PowerVR2 graphics processor, offering an excellent performance/cost ratio for the time. The games were distributed on ROM cartridges or on GD-ROM depending on the version, and NAOMI hosted hundreds of titles until the mid-2000s, such as Marvel vs Capcom 2 or Crazy Taxi. This BIOS manages system booting and detection of inserted game media.
