Synopsis

NBA Courtside 2002 is the first basketball game on GameCube. It uses movements captured by motion capture and face mapping. It includes a total of 29 NBA teams, as well as the Western All-Stars and the Eastern All-Stars. You can perform adrenaline-pumping moves or alley-oop dunks. Passes are easy to make thanks to the introduction of the C-Stick. The game features a large number of dunk and lay-up animations.

There are six game modes: Quick Play, Full Season, Playoffs, Three-Point Shootout, Arcade and Practice. Arcade mode is a 3-on-3 game, NBA Jam style, played on an outdoor court.
