Synopsis

Becoming the King of the Street is our new challenge in Need for Speed ​​ProStreet. To do this, you will have to travel around a lot by winning a number of very official tuning events, and removing the bigwigs in the industry one by one. A long quest strewn with pitfalls, but above all quickly repetitive as the races follow one another and are similar. There are three main types here with grip, drift and finally drag.

In the first case, these will be classic events on a circuit in several laps or against the clock (on a lap or by segment), or even speed challenges which will invite us to be flashed at various points on the route. Nothing really original at the moment.

For its part, drifting always offers the opportunity to drift your car as much as possible and impress the crowds, while drag brings together several disciplines.

In addition to the 400m from a standing start, there is also the 800m, always from a standing start, as well as rear wheel competitions, where you will have to cover a maximum distance on the rear wheels only. Total rubbish, yes.

Another little novelty: in drag, a few seconds of burn before the race will allow the tires to warm up for better grip and a delirious audience, obviously.

But that does not prevent us from quickly finding the time spent in the company of this ProStreet, with its very bland progress, the fault in particular of the absence of police which regularly came to spice things up in the previous episodes.

The most motivated will nevertheless find enough content to get their teeth into, as the career offers a multitude of events each hosting between five and ten events, all of which can be discovered via a kind of map (poorly) drawn on the ground. Hardly readable, it will open its ramifications to us as we progress, just punctuated by a few visits to the garage to improve its mounts, an aspect always particularly highlighted in this Need For Speed, but again, a little disappointing.
