Synopsis

Nemesis puts the player in control of a combat ship whose shape is similar to that of a fighter plane. Horizontal scrolling scrolls through 8 levels with very varied settings where the very particular imagination of Konami's designers works wonders: a volcanic planet without gravity where trees grow on the "ground" as well as on the "ceiling", giant semi-vegetable organisms that you have to cross, the interior of a gigantic orbital station... The prize of the never-seen-before returns to the third level where you have to slalom in the cosmic void between living and vindictive statues of Easter Island which spit missiles (could these be the creatures that inspired the construction of said statues after a short visit to earth?). The graphics of the arcade version are magnificent and made Nemesis the most beautiful horizontal shoot'em'up before R-Type arrived two years later.
