Synopsis
NHL 96 was the first EA Sports game to use Virtual Stadium technology, resulting in a 3D feel and multiple camera angles. The NHL license ensures that real teams and players from the era are included, with a full championship and playoff system. Many game options can be modified - the famous fights are optional, as are penalties and offsides. The control system allows for one-touch passes and several special moves to quickly advance the ball. As a bonus, the game includes profiles of each player on CD, as well as interviews with the game's stars.
