Synopsis

Shadow Warriors (Ninja Gaiden in North America) is a platform/action video game, the very first episode of the series and trilogy of the same name on NES.
Ryu Hayabusa is the last heir of the Ninja Dragon clan. Armed with the clan's ancestral Dragon sword, he leaves for the United States to investigate and avenge the death of his father Ken Hayabusa. The latter's death is linked to the secret of the two demonic statuettes of darkness and light that Shinobi used to lock away the demon.
Hunted by the CIA, their agent Irene Lew and their leader Forster, Ryu will be directed to the confines of the Amazon by archaeologist Walter Smith. Walter Smith discovered the ruins of a temple more than 2000 years old supposed to be the prison of the demon and which is now monopolized by a man called Guardia de Mieux alias "The Jaquio" who has appropriated one of the demonic statuettes.
