Ninja Hattori Kun - Ninja Ha Syugyou De Gozaru
Synopsis
Ninja Hattori-kun (literally "Little Ninja Hattori") is a 1986 video game developed and published by Hudson Soft for the Nintendo Family Computer exclusively in Japan. It is based on Fujiko Fujio A (the pseudonym of Motoo Abiko) Japanese manga series of the same name, which later became an anime series and an Asian franchise. The game was introduced around the same time the anime aired. It is the fifth best-selling Famicom game of 1986, selling approximately 1,500,000 copies during its lifetime.
The plot begins when a young ninja named Kanzo Hattori was looking for his master in order to complete his training. While searching for his master, he met Ken (Ken'ichi) Mitsobahis, a ten-year-old boy, and made him his temporary replacement, in order to develop Ken's confidence, while continuing many adventures together. It was aimed at a young audience in the same way as the manga and anime it is based on.
In the game, the player controls Kanzo Hattori in a side-scrolling action game. Hattori has to run to the right over various terrain, but mostly through the woods. Besides using throwing stars, Hattori can access any of the other ninja techniques, like Kagebashin, Happou no Shuriken, etc. In fact, he learns a total of 11 ninpous; however, he must first collect scrolls that provide these abilities before he can use them. Due to slow controls, it may be difficult to clear some of the obstacles he will face without ninja abilities to improve his mobility.
