Synopsis

Nuclear War is the first turn-based strategy game created by the studio which would later develop King's Bounty, one of the first 4X games, then the Heroes of Might and Magic series. The game caricatures the Cold War and the destructive potential of nuclear devices and offers new gameplay.
There are four opposing factions, you can either drop the bomb on them using a bomber, fire a missile, or try to attract their population using propaganda. Every now and then a random event happens, such as aliens land on one of the factions and the population suddenly increases, or someone throws cows at the opposition, causing a big stampede and killing millions. Computer Gaming World magazine praised its graphics, gameplay and the humor of computer-controlled enemies in particular.
